Have a look at this beautiful place and region in images with the video Tom made to support Duncan and Suzi's communication about the place.

They put us up in a beautiful flat which was previously occupied by the manager of the cottages before Duncan and Suzi took over. That is to say we are superbly installed. Moreover Duncan and Suzi are very caring hosts and happy to learn that Tom cooks well and cooks French ! Here we go for a round of Tom's best meals while Duncan opens up good wine bottles one after the other every evening.

We have very interesting conversations, Duncan being from a traditional agricultural background and having little by little changed his mind about conventional practices (those that were put in place at the end of the 2nd WW), together with Suzi who went from nurse to chief gardener of the place and has a high awareness about the importance of healthy food for a healthy life.

Duncan also took us on a boat ride over the Myall Lakes and invited us for delicious fish and chips on a party day in Tea Gardens. Great atmosphere !

We did also work a bit of course ! As you see on the pictures, we helped Duncan move a dead tree trunk. I was very happy to drive a tractor again, i did have the chance during my organic farming training but it was only short and this time we had to drag an enormous trunk, pushed by Duncan in the fork-lift and pulled by the tractor. Tom went to replenish the wood in all the cottages (which heating is wood-stove based) using the Gator, as you see on the pictures.

In general, we helped cleaning and preparing the cottages, a very interesting experience, to learn about practical hospitality things such as making a hospital bed to an overall view on a business such as this one as eco-tourism is one aspect of our own farm project.
